Rigid Denim Knit Jacket

A collection that updates vintage with knitwear. This is a knit reproduction of Levi's second model. A rigid denim-like fabric is knitted. Various cotton yarns are combined and alternately knitted on the front and back with a single jacquard to recreate a twill weave. Despite being knit, the material is resistant to stretch, highlighting the texture and creating a unique material that is somewhere between knitwear and woven fabric. It is highly prized as it is only produced on a limited number of knitting machines. The red selvedge on the chest pocket is also handmade with crochet. Machine washable.
