Hand-Stitched Denim Knit Shorts

A collection that updates vintage clothing with knits. Vintage Levi's denim shorts are reproduced in knit. Made from denim-like knit fabric, it is a very craft-like piece with wash processing, distressing, and hand stitching. Various cotton yarns such as crisp cotton yarn, cotton slub yarn, and bouclé-like cotton yarn are knitted alternately on the front and back with single jacquard to reproduce a twill weave. By knitting the slub yarns together, a marbled atmosphere was reproduced. It is also characterized by its smooth feel against the skin and very light wearing feel. Although it is a knit, it is a material that does not stretch, which brings out the character and texture of the yarn, making it a unique material that is somewhere between knit and woven fabric. There are hardly any machines that can knit double-sided single jacquard links, so it is produced only with limited knitting machines, making it highly valuable. After creating the knitted fabric, it is washed twice to give it a denim-like feel, and the damaged parts are secured with a mellow sewing machine to prevent fraying after the damage is added, and then wire brushed on top to reproduce the fluffy feel. The hem is intentionally left unfinished. All stitching is done by hand by artisans. The red edge of the back pocket is also handmade with crochet. Details such as the cinch back and coin pocket are also included. Machine washable for easy care. The waist can be adjusted with a drawstring.
