Hand-Stitched Damaged Denim Knit Jacket

The first Levi's model is reproduced in knit. A denim-like fabric is knitted, washed, distressed, and finished with hand stitching to create a craft-like piece. Various cotton yarns such as crisp cotton yarn, cotton slub yarn, and bouclé cotton yarn are alternately knitted and mixed in a single jacquard weave on the front and back to recreate a twill weave. The slub yarn is pulled together to recreate a marbled look. It is also light and feels good on the skin. Although it is knit, it does not stretch, and the individuality and texture of the yarn stand out, resulting in a unique material that is somewhere between knit and woven. After creating the knitted fabric, it is washed twice to give it a denim look, and the damaged parts are secured with a mellow sewing machine to prevent fraying after damage, and then wire brushed on top to recreate the fullness. All stitches are hand-sewn by craftsmen. The red tag on the chest pocket is also hand-knitted. The cinch back details are also intact. It is machine washable, so it is easy to care for.
