Hand Stitched Rigid Denim Knit Jacket

Inspired by the Levi's Type II jacket, this piece recreates the look of rigid denim using knitwear. By plying various cotton yarns together and knitting them in alternating front and back single jacquard, it achieves an appearance similar to a twill weave. Despite being a knit, it features a unique texture that sits between knit and woven fabric—it is resistant to stretching and has a distinct, pronounced texture. Because it can only be produced on a limited number of knitting machines, it is a highly rare product. All stitching is applied by hand by artisans, and the red selvedge detail on the chest pockets is also finished with handmade crochet. Additionally, the fact that it is machine washable makes it easy to use for daily wear.
